From as far back as I can remember, I have wanted to be around and work with animals, I wanted to be a vet but due to injury I would have difficulty with some aspects of the job, but I still got my wish,I still have my pets and have various qualifications to help me give my pets the best that I possibly can.
I am a fully vet trained microchipper, and also a pet psychologist, I am a qualified pet nutritionalist with Hills pet food and have helped at rescues and also succsesfully hand reared a litter of 14 puppies. I have studied animals from being a very young age. My animals mean everything to me,I could not imagine life without pets.
I decided to create my own breed of bulldog after hearing so many complaints against british bulldogs. I have owned a few british bulldogs in my time and I can honestly say I agree that something needs to be done to correct the man made faults that the british bulldog carries.
There are a lot of breeders out there doing a similar thing, trying to create a healthier bulldog, but many of them are adding terriers and mastiffs etc to the british bulldog and then calling them an old tyme bulldog,in my opinion (and thats exactly what it is, my opinion ) they are not bulldogs but bull terriers or bulldog crosses as some have many different breeds thrown into them. I add only bulldog to bulldog, I do not use terriers or mastiffs or any other breed of dog, only british bulldog on american bulldog, when our settlers went to america with the promise of land,we took with us our bulldogs to protect our families from wild boar, wolves and bears, those dogs became known as the american bulldog over time,so when I add american bulldog to my british bulldogs,Im just adding back a little of what was already there before we in england started downsizing our british bulldogs for the show ring as we had no need for working bulldogs anymore as this became abolished in this country. So ,over here, our bulldogs became smaller and more docile, while in america, they still keep them today for protection from wild animals and they have kept them in their original form.
